Respiratory Therapist Job in Austell, GA

You will work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist on the night shift (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM) at Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia. This 91-day travel assignment offers $2,072 weekly and begins April 29, 2026.

Your Role

You will deliver respiratory care in critical care areas, managing complex, multiple-problem patient situations. Your responsibilities include ventilator management with protocol adherence, patient assessments, and collaboration with the healthcare team on care planning.

Core Duties

• Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, and oxygen and medical gas therapy
• Manage ventilators, perform weaning, and interpret waveform graphics
• Handle airway management including intubation, extubation, and trach tube change and care
• Perform and analyze arterial blood gas sampling
• Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing
• Provide patient and family education, mentor new employees and students

Requirements

• Current certification: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT, and RCP
• 0–2 years clinical experience with minimum 6 months critical care experience
• Critical care, emergency department, and pediatric experience required
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and computer proficiency

Schedule

You will work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per schedule. Dark grey pewter uniform is required.
