About this role

You will work as an Occupational Therapist in the therapy and rehabilitation department at SRHS – Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care, a long-term acute care (LTAC) facility. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5×8 day shifts with Saturday rotation as needed
  • Guaranteed hours based on hours signed
  • No on-call requirements
  • Self-scheduling
  • Patient ratios: 2 patients during weekdays, 1 on weekends
  • Daily census: 55 patients in a 97-bed facility

Patient Population & Clinical Focus

You will work with adults and geriatric patients. LTAC patient diagnoses include those on ventilators, with tracheostomies, respiratory failure, chronic wounds, dialysis needs, amputations, and flap procedures. SNF patients present with CHF, COPD, debilitation, and orthopedic conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services within LTAC scope
  • Conduct family training and conferences
  • Utilize specialized equipment, including Safe Patient Handling Mechanical (SPHM) equipment
  • Chart in Epic system

Interdisciplinary Support

The facility offers collaborative support from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.

Requirements

  • Current BLS and NBCOT certifications
  • South Carolina state OT license required prior to start (pending license accepted)
  • 2 years of experience preferred; 1 year considered on case-by-case basis
  • LTAC experience preferred
  • Travel experience required
  • All RTO (requests time off) must be submitted with initial application; requests submitted after assignment begins will not be considered
  • Attendance policy: Missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract cancellation

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,361.60
