About this role
Prisma Health Richland Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026, offering three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,021.76 weekly.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care with 1:2 patient ratios in the CVICU
- Care for post-sternotomy patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, and aortic dissection
- Manage patients recovering from cardiothoracic procedures including carotid endarterectomy, lobectomy, and mediastinoscopy
- Monitor and manage advanced cardiac devices including CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Centrimag, VAD, and PA catheters
- Complete weekend coverage on a rotating every-other-weekend schedule
- Participate in floating to other qualified units as needed based on census demands
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
- Current flu vaccination with no exemptions permitted
- Residency more than 100 miles from the facility or meeting specific distance requirements based on specialty
Additional Requirements
- 48 hours of facility-provided orientation
- Completion of all pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
- Compliance with uniform requirement (green scrubs)
