<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block<br>• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract<br>• Patient ratio of 1:25 serving adolescents, adults, and geriatrics<br>• EPIC charting experience required<br>• Floating required within skillset<br>• Must have critical care experience to work in high volume ER, Level 1 Trauma Center<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC)<br>• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by VA State Board of Medicine required<br>• Must be competent in aerosol and medication delivery systems, ABG interpretation, and ventilator management<br>• Airway management skills including extubation, oral/nasal airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care required<br>• Proficient in oxygen therapy and nebulizer setups<br>• Experience with equipment including Servo I, Servo U, V-60 BiPAP, Optiflow heated high flow, iNO with iNOvent, and LTV1200<br>• Work with Neurotrauma, cardiovascular services, and medical/surgical ICU patients<br>• Robust Assess and Treat protocol in place with ventilator management and liberation policy<br>• 36 hours of orientation provided<br>• First-time travelers accepted with 1 year travel experience preferred</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This 703-bed acute care teaching hospital serves as the flagship facility and regional medical center.
