RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Self-scheduling
• Travel experience required
• 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Scrub color: Green scrubs required
• Care for adult patients post-sternotomy including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, aortic dissection, carotid endarterectomy, lobectomy, mediastinoscopy, and other cardiothoracic procedures
• Care for vascular patients with extensive co-morbidities and complications
• Experience with devices including CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Centrimag, VAD, and PA catheters required
• Required skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care and management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• May be required to float to other units and campuses based on census needs
