Job Details:

• 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Charge nurse role required
• Holiday call rotation as needed
• One weeknight on-call 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotation varying
• One weekend 24-hour on-call shift per month from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Call response time of 30 minutes required; candidates living more than 30 minutes away while on-call must remain on-site
• No self-scheduling for travelers; block scheduling may be allowed if it meets unit needs
• 2-3 years of experience in OR specialty required along with 2-3 previous travel assignments
• Ortho experience required
• Must have experience passing arms in and out for Robotics (Da Vinci and Rosa)
• Must have experience with all specialties for evening and night shift
• Must be comfortable working as the only RN overnight with 2 techs
• Must have EPIC EMR experience
• Scrubbing is a plus but not required
• Will circulate cases and rotate through charge nurse responsibilities
• Common cases include general, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics, neuro spine, trauma, vascular, and pediatric dental/ENT
• Facility covers all surgical cases except CVOR and L&D C-sections
• Float to outpatient surgery as needed
• Scrubs provided for RNs and OR Techs
• Unit orientation consists of 3 shifts over 1 week
• Charting system: EPIC
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA); PALS preferred
• BSN not required
• Active state license required
