Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry (Days)

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Overtime billable after 40 hours per week (up to 48 hours per week maximum)
• Weekend schedule: every other or every 3rd weekend depending on staffing and census
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1 with 15-bed unit capacity
• Care for all types of medical surgical patients with variety of conditions
• Work with heparin drips and remote telemetry monitoring
• Dress code: Navy blue, solid scrubs required
• 24 months minimum experience in Med Surg/Med Surg Tele required
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within previous 18 months
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Heparin experience required
• BLS (AHA or ARC) certification required
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Charge and preceptor experience highly preferred
• Telemetry/cardiac background highly preferred
• Must be willing to extend beyond initial 13-week assignment
