RN (Registered Nurse)

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every 3rd weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements discussed upon starting based on facility needs
• No call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements for travelers
• Patient ratios: 1:6 maximum, typically 1:3-4
• 15-bed medical/surgical unit
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% or higher
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including pneumonia, cellulitis, CHF, and COPD
• Telemetry monitoring with RN strip reading (no monitor techs)
• Use of respiratory equipment including CPAP, AirVO, and BiPAP for short intervals
• Charge nurse responsibilities available
• Nurse aids available when census is high enough
• EPIC charting system
• Navy blue scrub dress code required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Driver's license required for submittal
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
