Wound Care RN Job in McAllen, TX

Rio Grande Regional Hospital is seeking a travel RN for a 13-week wound care position. You'll work day shifts (7 AM–7 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week) with an active RN license and current Wound Care Certification required.

What You'll Do

• Perform wound debridement procedures and provide advanced dressing applications
• Manage specialized wound care equipment including Wound VAC, ABI Dopplers, Vascular Compression Systems, Pressure Relief Mattresses and Wedges, Hydrogels, Hydrocolloids, Antimicrobial and Biological Barriers, Surgical Scissors and Forceps, Curettes and Scalpels
• Float to all units within the hospital as assigned
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans
• Utilize the Meditech electronic medical records system
• Manage device systems and wound assessment protocols

Position Details

• Shift: 7 AM–7 PM, three 12-hour days per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Wound Care Certification (required; candidates without this certification will not be considered)
• On-call and weekend availability as needed
• Royal Blue scrubs required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $1,651
