Pharmacist Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist for a travel position at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. This is a 91-day assignment starting February 9, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Shift: 4x10 Nights (8:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 7 nights on / 7 nights off (Wednesday through Tuesday)
• Weekly pay: $3,358
• No on-call responsibilities
• No option for 48-hour guarantee or blocked scheduling

Role Responsibilities

You will work independently in a 44-bed unit plus emergency department, responsible for safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages. Your duties include:

• Collaborate with physicians on drugs and dosing decisions
• Provide education to nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and patient profile management
• Mix IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
• Maintain narcotic accountability and report adverse drug reactions
• Work with Cerner EMR system
• Meet multiple project deadlines while managing considerable video display exposure and keyboard use
• Handle irregular hours, multiple interruptions, and frequent pressure from calls and inquiries

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree (Pharmacist)
• 2 years recent hospital pharmacist staffing experience
• Inpatient acute hospital experience
• Sterile compounding experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and Arizona Pharmacist License
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification and/or accredited pharmacy residency
