About this role
ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist for a travel assignment at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a 91-day contract beginning May 11, 2026.
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology/Cardiology – Interventional Radiology
- Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, weekend-only (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday)
- Weekly pay: $2,811.60
- On-call responsibilities with 30-minute response time; alternating primary and secondary call on weekend nights
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform scrub duties maintaining sterile field in interventional radiology procedures
- Support angiography, embolization, stent placement, TIPS procedures, and additional specialty interventions
- Provide care for patients across all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Manage daily census of approximately 30 patients across 5-room department
- Operate Siemens and GE fluoroscopy equipment, ultrasound systems, and procedural CT scanners
- May be assigned to Emergency Team during facility emergencies with expectation to remain until event conclusion
Required Qualifications
- Allied Health Professional degree
- Minimum 2 years interventional radiology experience, or 1 year with neuro IR and scrub experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, ARRT VI, BLS
- Scrub experience required
- Travel healthcare experience required
- Epic charting system proficiency
- Must reside more than 65 miles from facility (no local travelers)
Preferred Qualifications
- Neuro IR experience
