MT (Medical Technologist) - Medical Technologist

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Position is based in an acute care setting
• 8-hour shifts with no self-scheduling or block scheduling
• No on-call or standby call requirements
• Weekend requirements vary depending on shift and department
• Holidays not normally required
• Work in core lab covering hematology, coagulation, and chemistry; microbiology and blood bank may be included for third shift positions
• Experience in a large, tertiary hospital lab strongly preferred, including trauma level 1, Children's hospital, and complex hematology and blood bank clinical experience
• Must have clinical laboratory experience; 4-year degreed and certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist or 2-year degreed and certified Clinical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT) accepted
• No phlebotomy required as a dedicated phlebotomy team is in place
• Generalist experience not typically required unless specifically stated
• Charting system: Epic Beaker
• No specific scrub color required; closed-toe shoes mandatory; business casual dress also accepted
• Department-specific orientation typically 2-3 weeks depending on individual competency
• Required certifications: BLS Certification
