Respiratory Therapist Job in Columbia, SC

Prisma Health Richland Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Columbia, SC. This is a 91-day contract with 3x12 night shifts at $1,944 weekly pay.

Position Requirements

• Current RRT certification with active ACLS and BLS
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

Schedule and On-Call

• 3x12 night shifts with weekend coverage required (typically every other weekend)
• Up to 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule for 36-hour contracts
• Call shifts limited to one per week maximum
• Night shift call coverage from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM only

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment including ventilators, ECMO, and BiPAP
• Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpretation
• Assist with intubations and manage tracheostomy care
• Support bronchoscopy procedures
• Float to other qualified units based on census needs

Onboarding

• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of start
• Up to 16 hours of billable time available for module completion
