Vascular Sonographer Job in Elizabethtown, KY

You will work as a Vascular Sonographer at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This is a travel healthcare assignment running 89 days, beginning June 29, 2026. You will work the night shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, earning $2,727.64 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform adult and pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms according to established policy and procedure, storing images in the archival system
• Administer echocardiogram contrast per facility protocol
• Assist cardiologists with transesophageal echocardiograms by preparing patients, recording tomographic views, and adjusting instrumentation
• Conduct treadmill and dobutamine stress echocardiograms with the cardiologist and stress testing nurse
• Obtain and store appropriate pre- and post-stress images
• Assess image quality and determine the need for contrast enhancement when images are suboptimal
• Manage clerical functions including study review, chart preparation for dictation, and updating procedure status
• Maintain patient safety during all diagnostic testing
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers before beginning procedures
• Communicate with patients about procedures and address their questions
• Demonstrate understanding of sonographic instrumentation and quality assessment standards
• Clean and prepare equipment, including rinsing transducers and arranging for central sterile processing after each procedure
