ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BSN degree required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be AHA certified)
• California RN license required at time of submission
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Every other weekend requirement
• On call/call off based on census
• Patient ratios: 2:1 during days and nights
• Possibility to float to ER or Med/Surg with ratios 1:4-5
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics
• Daily census of 4-6 patients in 6-bed unit with 9 rooms
• Skills required include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, blood product administration, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, procedural sedation, and hemodialysis
• Modules are completed during orientation averaging 1-5 hours
• 7-year work history verification required
