<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Registered Nurse - PCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 schedules with rotating weekends and holidays<br>• No call responsibilities required<br>• Patient ratio of 1:5 for PCU patients (1:7 when floated to Medical-Surgical units)<br>• Floating to Medical-Surgical units required<br>• 24-hour orientation with 16 hours being non-billable<br>• 2 years of nursing experience required<br>• First-time travelers accepted<br>• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS<br>• Epic charting system experience preferred<br>• Trauma Level I experience preferred<br>• Care for adult patients with various diagnoses in a progressive care unit setting<br>• Expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education<br>• Must maintain permanent residence 100+ miles from hospital service area<br>• Comprehensive skills required including BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, and various cardiac and vasoactive drip titrations<br>• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a 37-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate-level care for adult patients requiring closer monitoring than general medical-surgical units but not intensive care. The facility offers comprehensive support services including 24/7 phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and house supervisor support.
