PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3x12 schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required; Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
• Required to pass an ECG/Telemetry exam including reading and interpreting rhythm strips; failure of the telemetry exam will result in contract termination
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Care for patients experiencing severe but typically non-life threatening conditions requiring moderately complex assessments and moderately intensive therapies
• Patient population includes general medical disease processes including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
• May be required to float to other units up to competency level
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Eve + Day counts as 1 holiday)
• Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
• Schedule may include weekends and holidays and varies based on department needs
