Job Details:

• Clinic operates from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with shifts varying within clinic hours
• Temporary to permanent position available
• Administer radiation therapy in accordance with physician's instructions and patient treatment plans
• Enter data into computer and set controls to operate and adjust equipment and regulate dosage
• Assist physicians, radiation oncologists, and clinical physicists in preparing physical and technical aspects of radiation treatment plans
• Construct patient immobilization devices as ordered by physicians
• Maintain patient and billing records, reports, and files according to department policies
• Perform routine and complex radiation therapy treatments including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and brachytherapy
• Prepare equipment and room for patient treatments
• Use appropriate protective equipment and procedures to ensure safety of patients, self, and others
• Perform quality assurance procedures per state and federal guidelines
• Provide on-the-job clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists
• Must be a graduate from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by CAHEA
• Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
• Elekta experience preferred
• No prior experience required
• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking required
