NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Pediatric float pool position floating to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Day shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week assignment
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Must have PICU and NICU experience and be comfortable with pediatrics
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
• Peds PACU experience highly preferred
• Travel experience required
• Must have Epic experience
• Must adhere to float pool policy and be comfortable floating to PICU, NICU, Peds ER, Acute Pediatrics, and on occasion to L&D and Mother/Baby
• Patient ratios vary by unit: PICU 1:2, NICU ICU 1:2 and ICN 1:3, Acute Pediatrics 1:4-5, Peds ED variable
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS, and Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate (can submit with certification pending)
• Virginia nursing license required (pending license accepted)
• BSN preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required skills include but are not limited to: ventilator management, arterial line management, hemodynamic monitoring, ECMO, central line care, CRRT, high flow nasal cannula, IV vasopressors, pediatric dosage calculations, tracheostomy care, and wound assessment/care
