<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday support<br>• Patient ratios: 2:1 ICU, 4-5:1 PCU<br>• 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with charge nurse out of staffing<br>• No unit secretaries or PCTs available<br>• Day shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN; Night shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN<br>• Work with lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, and IV pumps<br>• Use Cerner documentation system<br>• Float to other units as required<br>• Perform bedside shift reporting (mandatory)<br>• Relief charge nurse expected to perform nurse leader rounding<br>• Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations<br>• Must have Medical ICU experience in large facility<br>• Advanced skills needed: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology, hemodynamic monitoring, central line management<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS<br>• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs<br>• Must be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management<br>• Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility is a major medical center offering comprehensive critical care services with advanced technology and equipment.
