ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Adult

Job Details:

• Assess patient conditions and plan and implement individualized patient care plans
• Treat wounds and provide advanced life support
• Assist physicians in performing medical procedures
• Observe and record patient vital signs
• Ensure proper functioning of ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment including ventilator and IABP adjustments
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications
• Perform suctioning as needed
• Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team
• Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
• Act as patient advocate
• Provide education and support to patient families
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (must be through the American Heart Association)
• California RN license required
