Telemetry RN Job in Anniston, AL

Join RMC Anniston as a Registered Nurse on our Med Surg/Telemetry unit. This 56-week travel assignment offers you the opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute care setting with competitive compensation and flexible scheduling.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 4x12 days with every other weekend (EOW) schedule
• Weekly pay: $2,592
• Duration: 56 weeks
• Start date: August 10, 2026
• Location: Anniston, AL

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care on Med Surg/Telemetry, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown units as assigned. Patient ratios are 1:5 on unit; 1:6 during days, nights, and weekends. You will be expected to float between Med Surg units as operational needs require.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac monitoring and respond to dysrhythmias with strong clinical judgment
• Initiate and maintain IV access; manage Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips (no titration required)
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines
• Provide oxygen therapy including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Apply isolation precautions and proper PPE use
• Collaborate with Rapid Response and Code teams during emergencies
• Maintain accurate charting in the facility's electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Current Alabama nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems (any system accepted)
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and PCU/Stepdown care
