Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• ED Hold position with float responsibility to Med/Surg Tele when not utilized in ED Holding
• 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Charting system: Epic
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• 3 years of overall experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS
• California RN licensure required
• Demonstrate understanding of evidence-based practice, pathophysiology, pharmacological implications, and regulatory issues
• Accurately document assessments and perform clinical procedures including IV, Foley, and dressings
• Provide effective patient and family education
• Properly utilize telemetry monitoring, IV, ventilator, and safe medication administration
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Serve patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, chest tube management, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, triage, and management of dysrhythmias among others
