Electrophysiology Lab RN Job in Cedar Rapids, IA

UnityPoint – St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary position in the Electrophysiology Lab. This is a day shift role on a 4x9 schedule, running for 91 days beginning September 21, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced EP environment, assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures. You will work Monday through Thursday, 9 hours per day, with no on-call responsibilities and no required weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of current Electrophysiology/EP experience
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac ablation, CRM (cardiac rhythm management), and LAAO (left atrial appendage occlusion) procedures
• Proficiency with drip/titration of anticoagulation and Isuprel
• EPIC CUPID EMR experience required
• Scrub experience highly preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Valid Iowa nursing license
• Completion of EP-specific skills checklist
• Valid driver's license
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Residency requirement: minimum 50 miles from facility

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcomed. You must be willing to work 1–2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed. This position offers weekly compensation of $2,782.
