Job Details:

• Provide basic nursing care to non-acute and acutely ill residents while maintaining a safe and clean environment
• Must have current Alaska CNA license and current BLS certification
• 1 year prior CNA experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must live at least 50+ miles away from facility address
• Perform basic nursing tasks including bed baths, oral hygiene, vital signs monitoring, specimen collection
• Document observations and report abnormal findings to Licensed Nurse
• Assist with positioning, lifting, and turning residents regularly
• Answer call lights and make rounds to assigned residents
• Transport residents to various departments as needed
• Provide 1:1 care/sitting for residents when indicated for safety
• Obtain 12-lead Electrocardiograms (ECGs) and perform telemetry monitoring
• Cross-train to Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, and Surgical Department
• Cross-train to Senior Office Specialist/Ward Clerk positions
• Serve as preceptor for incoming CNA staff and students
• Participate in Performance/Process Improvement projects
• Must pass courses specific to unit needs including POC/waived testing
• Fast-paced environment with constant pressure to complete assignments
• Position requires physical lifting of non-ambulatory patients on regular intervals
• Rate is all-inclusive with no housing or flights provided
