PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as an RN on the A 4 West Adult Medical Surgical unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 34-bed progressive care unit where you'll provide direct patient care on a 3x12 night shift schedule (6:45 PM–7:15 AM).

Your responsibilities:

• Care for 5–7 patients per night shift
• Perform telemetry rhythm interpretation and monitor patients on telemetry systems
• Manage IV fluids, tube feeds, PEG feedings, and IV antibiotics
• Assess patients for acuity changes and communicate with appropriate personnel
• Attend unit huddles at 6:50 PM
• Clock in between 6:38–6:45 PM; take clocked meal breaks as required
• Float to other medical-surgical units or the ED holding pod as needed
• Work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period
• Collaborate with CNAs and nursing staff to support unit operations

What you bring:

• Current RN license
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication abilities
• Ability to assess medical-surgical level patients and recognize acuity changes
• Team player mentality with willingness to assist colleagues
• Punctuality and adherence to unit guidelines

Weekly pay is $2,102.40. You'll follow all HCA policies and unit-specific guidelines while delivering quality care in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting.
