AU Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Float RN for an inpatient position in Augusta, GA. This is a day shift role offering competitive pay and the opportunity to work across multiple clinical areas.

Position Details

  • Day shift schedule: four 10-hour shifts per week
  • 2–3 weekdays of on-call per month required
  • Assignment length: 91 days
  • Start date: June 16, 2026
  • Weekly pay: $2,131.20

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
  • Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics including age, gender, and disease
  • Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods such as bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and planned patient teaching
  • Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care using inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance activities
  • Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required mandatory education
  • Serve as preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and staff
  • Uphold all healthcare system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies including legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact accepted)
  • Minimum 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience
  • Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • ACLS certification (required within 180 days of hire)
