CVOR Technologist Job in Midland, MI

MyMichigan Health - Midland is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10-hour day shifts, with call coverage of 1–2 nights per week and every third weekend.

Role Overview

As a CVOR technologist, you will provide surgical support during cardiovascular procedures in a tertiary care level I or II trauma center. Your responsibilities include:

• Assist surgeons during open heart and cardiovascular procedures
• Set up sterile fields with instruments in a timely manner
• Assemble and operate surgical equipment, disposables, and ensure proper cleaning and sterilization
• Maintain sterile environments and monitor the sterile field for breaks in technique
• Keep accurate counts of medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps per facility policy
• Verify items on physician preference cards and ensure accurate patient charges
• Anticipate surgeon needs and problem-solve during procedures
• Float to General OR when needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of CVOR experience required
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Tertiary care center and/or designated level I or II trauma center experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current NBSTSA certification required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Compensation & Duration

Weekly pay: $2,851.20. Assignment runs 91 days, starting June 29, 2026.
