Job Details:

• Monday through Friday day shifts at the cancer center
• Shift times: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM with half day Friday
• 40 hours per week guarantee
• No cancellations policy
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Radiation Therapist - ARRT (T)
• Current Arizona State CTT Radiation Therapist certification required
• ARRT for Radiation Therapist licensure required
• Work with Varian 21iX Linear Accelerator and Pinnacle treatment planning software
• Use Mosaiq and Allscripts EMR systems
• Accurately administer external beam radiation therapy according to physician prescriptions
• Perform daily startup procedures and morning quality assurance on linear accelerator
• Conduct conventional and CT simulations, fabricate immobilization devices
• Complete photon and electron block fabrication
• Perform weekly portal imaging or IGRT as directed
• Maintain patient appointments within 5 minutes of scheduled time
• Document all treatment aspects and report any deviations to physician
• Participate in chart rounds and tumor boards
• Practice radiation safety protocols and report machine malfunctions
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50-100 pounds and extensive standing
