Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Med/Surg Telemetry Resource Pool position with ability to float to all med/surg tele units, cardiac stepdown, and overflow areas
• Float may occur between both campuses - Church Street and Mary Black
• Patient ratios of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
• On-call required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6-week period
• Will consider 48-hour shifts if interested
• Weekend coverage as needed with number of weekend shifts varying based on need
• Patients include adults and geriatric age groups
• 2 years of experience preferred; will consider 1+ year on a case-by-case basis
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be able to pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test on the first day of orientation - one chance to pass
• Recent EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Block scheduling not available
• 75-mile radius restriction applies - local candidates not accepted
• All requested time off must be included on the initial submission; RTO requested after the fact will not be considered
• Attendance policy in effect: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract cancellation
• Key skills include: telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), PCA management, tracheostomy care, and IV placement and maintenance
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
