Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - CVICU Float Pool</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week and alternating weekends<br>• 48 hours guaranteed with overtime after 48 hours<br>• Rapid response team covering ECMO, LVAD, and Cath lab recovery capable units<br>• Float to CVICU, E4 (heart step-down/progressive care), and Cath lab recovery<br>• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)<br>• Work with 16-bed unit staffed by RNs only (no HUC or PCT)<br>• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, paralytics<br>• Required experience with ventilators, trachs, telemetry interpretation<br>• Must understand hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation<br>• Work with equipment including vents, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, hypothermia devices<br>• Advanced skills desired: IABP, Impella, CRRT experience<br>• Procedures performed include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions<br>• CCRN certification recommended but not required<br>• Use Cerner documentation system<br>• Dress code: All navy or navy and white scrubs only, no pullovers or hoodies<br>• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour shift on floor<br>• ICU experience required<br>• RTO/special scheduling will not be accommodated</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major healthcare facility features a 16-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit specializing in advanced cardiac care including ECMO, LVAD, and complex cardiac procedures.
