Ultrasound Technologist Job in Mountain Home, AR

Baxter Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Mountain Home, Arkansas. You'll work a 4x10 night shift (Tuesday–Friday, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM), with the facility open to considering a 5x8 schedule Monday–Friday if preferred. Weekly pay is $2,448.

Your Role

You'll perform approximately 40 ultrasound exams daily across 3 rooms/beds, working with patients of all ages—infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. You'll conduct sonography exams in the radiology department, operating room, emergency department, and on patient floors. Call rotation is required with a 30-minute response time.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound exams using Siemens equipment with appropriate transducers
• Execute special procedures including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Manage critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure
• Safely lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds using proper body mechanics
• Document exams in the Cerner system

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
• Arkansas Radiology license in good standing
• ARDMS, ARRT, and current CPR certifications
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Baxter Health will provide 3 hours of orientation. The radiology department maintains an average daily census of 350 patients. Start date: June 22, 2026.
