About this role

You will work as a Surgical Technologist specializing in Cardiothoracic, Vascular, and Operating Room support at MMC-P Bramhall Campus in Portland, Maine. This is a 91-day travel position offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to refine your surgical skills in a Level 1 trauma center environment.

Schedule and Hours

  • 4x10 day shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • One weekend per four-week cycle on 12-hour shifts
  • One overnight call requirement per month (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) for trauma activation
  • Specialty team call scheduled per institutional protocol for Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, and Ortho cases

Role Expectations

  • Maintain 1:1 patient ratios in the OR
  • Demonstrate expertise in emergency general surgery, burns, trauma, thoracic, and hepatic procedures
  • Competence required in DaVinci robotic-assisted surgery, HIPEC procedures, and pediatric cases
  • Preferred experience in General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, joint procedures, Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastics, and Endovascular work
  • Operate equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot systems
  • Use Epic EMR system for documentation

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Level 1 trauma center experience required
  • CST certification required
  • Flexibility, accountability, timeliness, and strong teamwork skills
