PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at BUMC Tucson, a 625-bed Level I Trauma facility. You will work in the Paranesthesia department providing care in adult inpatient overflow holding areas, general PACU, and Same Day Surgery areas for inpatient and observation patients.

Position Details:

• Shift: 3 x 12-hour nights
• Duration: 89 days
• Start date: May 18, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,582.10
• Location: BUMC Tucson, 1625 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Formulate and implement comprehensive plans of care including discharge planning
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records
• Care for patients holding for beds within the facility
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Evaluate patient progress toward goals and expected outcomes
• Participate in unit shared leadership and education activities

Required Qualifications:

• Current valid RN license in the state of practice
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
• Experience in acute care setting within the past 12 months
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics
• Adequate hearing, visual acuity, and fine motor skills
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification
