Registered Nurse - ICU @ Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Must be comfortable floating between ALL ICU and PCU units
• Staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours, may float 2-3 times per shift
• Patient ratios: PCU average 5:1, ICU average 2:1
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in 6-week block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 2+ years ICU experience required
• Experience at Large Level 1/2 facility required
• Clinical skills required: arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, IV therapy, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, cardiac drip titration, wound care with drains/wound vacs, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocol adherence
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Can work without CNA support
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
