Electrophysiology Technologist - EP Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Shifts may extend longer when on call
• On-call requirements include nights and weekends with a 30-minute response time
• Holiday work required
• Weekend on-call required
• 3-4 years of cath lab experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical setting required
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Train to function in monitoring, scrubbing, or circulating roles
• Work in conjunction with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiologists
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for procedures
• Maintain sterile technique during procedures
• Transport patients as needed and provide privacy and comfort
• Verify patient ID using 2 patient identifiers
• Participate in cath or EP call rotation once appropriately oriented and checked off on clinical and operational competencies
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular cath or electrophysiology procedures, patient positioning, and radiation protection required
• Basic knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, cardiac anatomy and physiology preferred
• Basic knowledge of hemodynamics, intracardiac electrograms, and electrophysiology equipment required
• Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 180 days of hire
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health Science preferred
