About this role
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026. You will work day shifts Monday through Friday, performing general ultrasound services across multiple clinical areas.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform general ultrasound, vascular, and musculoskeletal ultrasound services
- Conduct diagnostic exams including venous studies, carotid assessments, upper and lower extremity venous studies (DVT), abdominal scans, aorta screenings, thyroid exams, and breast imaging
- Assist providers with ultrasound-guided procedures including prostate, thyroid, breast, and lymph node assessments
- Work independently and proficiently with pediatric to geriatric patient populations
- Safely move and lift patients, equipment, and supplies on a regular basis
- Operate clinical emergency equipment including oxygen tanks and suction apparatus
- Document exams using the Cerner EMR system
Scope Notes: This position does not include obstetric work beyond first trimester, musculoskeletal imaging, or pediatric cases. You will receive 8 hours of non-billable orientation.
Requirements:
- Allied Health Professional credential as Ultrasound Technologist
- Minimum 2+ years current ultrasound experience
- ARDMS certification (AB, BR, OB/GYN, RVT)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Personal scrubs of any color
- Valid personal vehicle for transportation
- Residency requirement: more than 50 miles from facility
- At least 6 months previous travel healthcare experience highly preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
Assignment Details: 8-hour day shifts, 91 days, $2,793.60 weekly pay. Maximum 5 days of requested time off accepted. Strict attendance policy enforced.
