Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Kansas City, MO

BJC West – Saint Lukes Hospital Plaza is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This is a 91-day travel assignment with block scheduling.

Position Details

• Schedule: 5×8 days with on-call required, including weekends
• Weekly pay: $2,940
• Patient ratios: 1:4 days, 1:3 nights and weekends
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract

Facility Overview

The lab operates with an average daily census of 4 procedures across 4 rooms and approximately 16 visits per day. You will care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required. Scrubs are provided by the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience
• Previous charge experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Epic charting system experience required

Key Clinical Skills

Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, cardiac stent placement, IABP and Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions, pharmacological stress testing, pulmonary artery monitoring, rotablator atherectomy, TAVR, Watchman procedures, pacemaker insertion, angioplasty, procedural sedation, sheath removal and monitoring, and vascular closure systems.

Special Procedures

CORS, PCI, peripherals, cardiac biopsies, right heart caths, Cardiomems, TAVR, TMVR, LAAO closure (Watchman), PVL, ASD/PFO, CTO, and MTEER.

Equipment & Technology

IVUS, intravascular lithotripsy, rotablator, mechanical thrombectomy, OCT, iFR/FFR, laser, and Impella systems.

Support Services

Interdisciplinary support is available through respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and unit secretaries.
