Job Details:

• Verify patient identification using two identifiers and confirm correct procedure orders prior to imaging
• Select and utilize appropriate technical factors for procedures based on body habitus, pathology, and body part while consistently positioning patients properly
• Perform all mammography exams including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic biopsy, and Bone Density (DXA) exams in accordance with hospital protocols without assistance
• Verify all images have transferred successfully into PACS and are of high quality prior to forwarding to radiologists for interpretation
• Maintain all required documentation and data required by accrediting body in accordance with MQSA standards
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of imaging equipment as listed on the Competency Skills Checklist
• Complete annual training and demonstrate age-specific care to meet the needs of the patient population served
• Maintain acceptable completion time based on complexity of procedure and patient condition
• Expected to perform 15-20 exams per technologist per day
• Work within a robust mammography department consisting of 4 mammography rooms and a mobile van
• Must be certified in mammography (RT(R)(M)) prior to starting
