Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced RN for Cardiac Cath Lab at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. This is a 92-week travel assignment beginning June 1, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work in a pediatric cardiac catheterization lab, supporting diagnostic, interventional, biopsy, and electrophysiology procedures. You'll care for neonates through adolescents with congenital heart disease, working in both circulating and scrubbing roles while maintaining strict sterile technique.

Schedule and Call

• Four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirements begin after 1 week of orientation
• 12–15 call days per 6-week schedule
• Weekday call: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend call: 2 weekends of 24-hour call per 6-week schedule (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient information, allergies, medications, and consent forms
• Prepare catheterization rooms with necessary medications and equipment
• Coordinate with physicians, APPs, anesthesia, and team members
• Assist during procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Operate point-of-care testing equipment and administer contrast
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations
• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients

Requirements

• Pennsylvania State board-approved RN license
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications
• Hospital-issued blue scrubs required
• Preferred: experience with congenital heart disease and advanced assessment skills

Compensation and Duration

Weekly pay: $3,168. Assignment length: 92 weeks.
