NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• NICU Level II & III experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Patient ratios vary between 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and 1:4 depending on acuity
• Weekend coverage required
• Holiday requirement: 1 holiday with 2 on-call/additional shifts per 6 weeks OR 2 holidays with no on-call/additional shifts
• Float to Pediatrics may be required
• Orientation consists of 36 hours, including a Pass/Fail Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test on the first day with one opportunity to pass
• Epic charting system experience preferred but not required
• Patient population: Neonates, including prematurity from 23 weeks to term, respiratory distress, glucose management of late preterm, chorioamnionitis, and retinopathy of prematurity
• Unit consists of 35 beds with 22 intensive/intermediate beds and 10 beds in back nursery in an open bay floor plan
• Special equipment includes HFOV and NAVA
• Skills required: Isolation precautions/PPE, neonates 34 weeks, neonates 29-34 weeks, NICU III, and NICU IV
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE (preferred)
• Active or pending nursing license required; must obtain prior to start
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submission
• Attendance policy in effect: more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract cancellation
