Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Day and night shifts available
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• 1-2 years of minimum experience required
• Float requirements apply - IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit, as well as to med/surg as needed; med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care based on unit need and skill
• Patient ratios: Day shift med/surg 1:4-5, night shift med/surg 1:5-6, day and night IMC 3:1
• Unit contains 43 beds
• IMC RNs must have ventilator experience
• All RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and reading/interpreting telemetry strips
• Equipment includes: ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, nasal cannula, non-rebreather, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care/maintenance
• EMR system: Epic
• Required certification: BLS
• Patient population includes respiratory, medical telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute on chronic medical conditions
• Professional scrubs required; no unprofessional clothing or shirts with non-hospital related logos
