Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• 45-bed unit serving medical surgical, orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients
• Top medical diagnoses include CHF, COPD, and pneumonia
• Pediatric patients are admitted to the general floor; PALS required to care for pediatric patients
• Float requirements apply
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred
• Must have strong IV skills and telemetry monitoring experience
• Equipment used includes Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Phillips Cardiac Monitor
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color: No prints, any color as long as clean and in good repair
• Unacceptable attire includes hoodies, crocs, or any shoes with holes or open toes
• Must be patient-focused, organized, positive, professional, and a team player
