Ob/Gyn Sonographer Job in South Hill, VA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Ob/Gyn Sonographer for a 91-day travel assignment at VCU Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Virginia. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Role Overview

You will perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound services, conducting approximately 16 patient visits per day with a 1:1 patient ratio. You will serve adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients across multiple imaging scenarios. You may float within your scope of practice as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete first, second, and third trimester imaging
• Perform abdominal circumference, amniotic fluid index, and bone length measurements
• Assess cerebellum and ventricle development
• Conduct fetal anatomical surveys, including fingers and toes
• Determine fetal gender
• Evaluate placenta previa and umbilical cord Doppler
• Manage multiple pregnancies and maternal fetal medicine cases
• Maintain EPIC charting documentation
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience
• Current ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN, RDCS, ARRT, or CCI certification
• BLS certification
• Virginia or compact state license in hand at time of application
• EPIC charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• BSN preferred

Compensation and Duration

This position offers weekly pay of $2,852 and runs for 91 days, beginning November 16, 2026.
