About this role
Medical City Fort Worth is seeking a travel RN for their Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (3E). This is a 13-week assignment on the night shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), working three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit with a 5–6:1 patient ratio
- Perform indwelling and straight urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertions, blood administration, central line dressing changes, wound dressing changes, surgical drain removal, and suture/staple removal
- Learn and apply specialty patient mobilization skills specific to rehabilitation nursing
- Complete rehabilitation-specific documentation in Meditech with real-time training support
- May float to medical-surgical units as needed in rotation with unit staff
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- Two years of inpatient hospital nursing experience, including medical-surgical, step-down critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation
- Experience with neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult patient populations preferred
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation or long-term acute care (LTACH) nursing experience preferred
Facility Information
You will work alongside RNs and PCTs in a well-established rehabilitation setting. The unit is staffed to support your success with coaching on documentation standards and rehabilitation procedures.
Dress Code and Compliance
Royal blue scrub tops and pants in good condition are required. Scrub caps must be logo-free. No artificial, gel, or next-generation nails are permitted. Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be neatly trimmed. Body art must be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. You must compliantly wear all facility-issued PPE, including N95s and face shields.
Weekly pay is $1,576.80. Assignment begins July 13, 2026.
