PCU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a travel nursing role offering 3x12 night shifts over an 89-week contract, starting June 22, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,397.60.

As a PCU RN, you will provide specialized nursing care for patients who require intermediate-level monitoring and treatment. Your patients will need more intensive care than those on general medical-surgical units, but less than those in critical care settings. You will assess patient conditions, administer medications, and coordinate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor patient vital signs, clinical status, and response to treatments
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed
• Develop and implement care plans that address patient needs and goals
• Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate, timely medical records
• Respond to patient emergencies and provide appropriate clinical interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Communicate with patients and families regarding care, treatment, and recovery

This position requires you to balance the demands of intermediate care nursing while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality. You will work nights in a structured three-shift-per-week schedule, allowing for flexibility while maintaining consistent patient care.
