Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ER Med Surg</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM<br>• Every other weekend requirement<br>• Alternating holiday schedule (usually every other holiday)<br>• Float between ER/Med Surg units as needed<br>• Team nursing model with 1:8 nurse to patient ratios<br>• No call or standby requirements<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC<br>• 2 years of nursing experience required<br>• Must have understanding of dementia, stroke, skin care, and geriatric patient care<br>• Required to titrate drips including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions<br>• Must read and interpret telemetry strips<br>• Work with EPIC electronic medical records system<br>• Care for patients with dementia, diabetes, post-acute illness rehab, trauma patients, chronic illness exacerbations, and general post-surgery rehabilitation<br>• Provide IV medication, fluid and blood administration, and wound care<br>• Scrubs required with no specific color requirement<br>• 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided<br>• Block scheduling available upon request</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This critical access hospital serves a rural community with 25 beds and operates as a swing bed unit providing comprehensive emergency and medical-surgical services. The facility utilizes team nursing approaches and maintains charge nurses on each shift to support collaborative patient care. The hospital focuses on serving an aging population with specialized expertise in geriatric care, dementia management, and post-acute rehabilitation services.</p><p><strong>Location:</strong></p><p>Turtle Lake, ND</p><p>Turtle Lake offers a peaceful rural setting in North Dakota with close-knit community atmosphere and outdoor recreational opportunities.
