Physical Therapy Assistant

<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Rehabilitation Therapy - Physical Therapy Assistant</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Assist Staff Therapist with patient-related activities and provide direct patient care<br>• Treat patients as directed by Physical Therapist following physician treatment plans<br>• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board requirements<br>• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed<br>• Communicate with supervisor and health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans<br>• Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides<br>• Instruct patients&#39; families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training for discharge preparation<br>• Participate in in-service training programs for facility staff<br>• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and department upkeep<br>• Report equipment problems to ensure proper working order<br>• Record treatment changes per policy and procedures<br>• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state<br>• Proficient computer skills required including data input into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care<br>• Must maintain license in good standing and meet continuing education requirements per state practices<br>• Ability to relate positively and effectively with patients, families, staff and professional colleagues<br>• Quick start position urgency</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This post-acute care facility provides comprehensive rehabilitation services with a focus on patient recovery and therapeutic outcomes.
