Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Petaluma, CA

You'll work as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Santa Rosa Post Acute, a post-acute care facility in Petaluma, California. This is a quick-start position with a 91-day assignment beginning October 28, 2025.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assist the supervising Physical Therapist with direct patient care and rehabilitation activities
• Treat patients according to physician treatment plans and PT direction
• Document daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in compliance with PT Board requirements
• Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed
• Communicate with your supervisor and interdisciplinary team members about patient progress, challenges, and care plans
• Train and assist Restorative Aides on proper techniques
• Instruct patients and families in home maintenance programs and caregiver training for discharge preparation
• Participate in in-service training programs offered by facility staff
• Maintain the treatment area, clean equipment, and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Record treatment changes and updates according to facility policy and procedures

Requirements:

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of California, in good standing
• Completion of continuing education requirements per California state regulations
• Proficient computer skills, including data entry into electronic health record systems such as Casamba and Point Click Care
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with patients, families, clinical staff, and professional colleagues

You'll earn $2,482 weekly. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on rehabilitation care in a post-acute setting while working with a supportive clinical team.
