PCU Registered Nurse Job in York, PA

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will work 3x12 day shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed. Your base weekly pay is $2,303, with a start date of July 27, 2026.

Role Overview

You will care for patients across a mixed acuity unit with a 3:1 patient ratio. The IMCU component consists of 12 beds within a 56-bed unit. Your primary focus will be pulmonary patients including those with COPD, pneumonia, and tracheostomies. You will also manage patients with high-flow modalities, end-stage renal disease, congestive heart failure, stroke overflow, alcohol withdrawal, gastrointestinal bleeding, dialysis patients, sepsis, and pulmonary hypertension.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting experience

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, ventilated patients, central line care, telemetry monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vacs, and insulin drip titration.

Support and Facility Details

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility is tobacco and fragrance free. You may be asked to float to the rehab unit as needed. Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract.
