Pharmacy Tech - Pharmacy Tech

Job Details:

• Rotating weekend schedule required, typically every third weekend with bonus 4 hours of comp time the following week
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Assist with inventory and stock maintenance, medication preparation, physical inspection, and record keeping
• Prepare intravenous admixtures and other sterile drug products, including antineoplastic, investigational, and hazardous medications in accordance with USP chapters 797 and 800
• Prepare and compound non-sterile drug products in accordance with USP chapters 795 and 800
• Utilize closed system transfer devices to limit potential exposure of the environment to hazardous medications
• Follow investigational protocols in the preparation of study medications and maintain records of preparation, stability, and dispensing
• Maintain hardware and software of the department's multiple computer systems
• Electronically process prescription orders and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification
• Process third party claims and assist with call center, mail order, prior authorizations, and deposits
• Minimum 2 years of current Pharmacy Technician experience required
• High degree of proficiency in IV compounding and chemotherapy compounding required
• Must hold active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation - NCCT not accepted
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• New Hampshire state license required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Skills checklist pertinent to Pharmacy Technician position completed within one year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
